About the position
We are looking for an experienced Squad Lead to lead a newly formed squad responsible for building Personetics’ business-facing application layer, which directly impacts end users.The role combines hands-on backend development, technical leadership, and strong product thinking.The Squad Lead will drive engineering standards, improve SDLC processes, and promote the adoption of AI-powered development practices within the team.This position requires deep backend expertise ability to lead frontend developers, strong system design capabilities, and the ability to work closely with Product, Design to build scalable, flexible, and user-centric solutions that deliver clear business value.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable, high-quality backend services powering user-facing featuresOwn architectural decisions and ensure alignment with product and business needsContribute hands-on to development, especially in complex or critical areasDrive adoption of AI-assisted development practices and modern SDLC methodologiesImprove development velocity, code quality, and testing practicesMentor and elevate team members, increasing overall squad seniority and engineering standardsCollaborate closely with softwere architects, product managers, and designers to deliver cohesive solutionsEstablish and enforce best practices for code reviews, system design, and delivery

6+ years of development experience with a backend orientation.Proven experience in technical leadership or leading engineering initiativesHands-on mindset with the ability and willingness to actively codeStrong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance considerationsExperience working on user-facing systems and leading frontend developersExperience improving engineering processes, SDLC, and development workflowsFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools and practicesStrong communication skills and ability to lead within a cross-functional squadEducation: B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent Nice to have Experience leading teams through organizational transitions (e.g., to squads)Experience in fintech or data-driven productsExperience working on SaaS products with a focus on scalability, multi-tenancy, and customer-centric architectureproductivityHands-on experience integrating AI into development workflows
